Donald E. Coss Brockport, NY formerly of Olean, NY. Passed away peacefully on Thursday November 1, 2018 at the age of 100. Born June 25, 1918 in Portville, he was the son of Sam and Leta Murphy Coss. Predeceased by his loving wife of 70 years, Viva Coss and son Robin Coss. He is survived by his daughter Cathy (Paul) Pilat of Kure Beach, NC; grandchildren Kristin(Eric) Bovee, Kimberlie (Mark) Bovee and Kari Pilat, great-grandchildren Evan(Butch), Katelyn(Katie) Gabriella(Babs) and Julia(Chatterbox) Bovee, Brooklyn(Pipsqueak) Langdon, many beloved nieces and nephews. Don was a WWII veteran, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge, the Ardennes and Colmar Pocket battles. He was proud to be recognized for his service while on Honor Flight to Washington, DC. He is retired from the Olean City School District and was a lifelong member of St. Andrews Methodist Church in Westons Mills, NY. He especially enjoyed golfing, playing his last game at age 95 He loved watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's recitals and sporting events.. His family has lost a wonderful man and he will always hold a special place in our hearts. There will be no prior calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 12pm at Chestnut Hill Cemetery Chapel, Portville, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Honor Flight of Rochester
