Lillian M. Manning City of Tonawanda: Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her daughter's home on Wednesday October 10, 2018 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her husband Lloyd A. Manning "Duke". She is survived by her children Barbara (Tom) Linhart, Mark Manning, Todd (Kathleen) Manning and Lori (Rick) Breiter, grandchildren Lisa (Brent) Stantz, Courtney Whitlock, Tom Linhart Jr., Zach (Kelly) Breiter, Laura (Martin) Breiter, and 4 great grandchildren. Lillian was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of the City of Tonawanda and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was known for her longevity, honesty, wisdom, wit, strength and love. She was a pillar for our family. Lil went quietly surrounded with family and love. Her last lesson, of the many she taught us, was not to be afraid of death. She passed peacefully, and as she lived, with grace. Special thank you to Melody Parker and her staff at Clover Hill Adult Residence, Albion, NY and Lifetime Care Home Health Hospice of Rochester. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday November 4th at 2 PM, in the First Presbyterian Church of Tonawanda, 149 Broad St., Tonawanda, NY 14150. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to the SPCA serving Erie County.
