Barbara Elaine Pearson Brockport: Barbara passed away peacefully on Sunday June 17, 2018 surrounded by family at Elderwood of Lakeside at the age of 84. She was born in Detroit Michigan on August 1, 1933 and lived in Rochester, NY for most of her life before residing in Brockport, NY. She is predeceased by her husband Jasper Pearson and daughter Sherry (Watkins) Stevenson. She is survived by her loving children Faye (Jeff) Gillette and Harvey (Judith) Watkins; grandchildren Machelle Smith, Melissa (Dylan) Rubadeaux, Jennifer (Nevardo) Vanegas, Lonnell Watkins, Donnell (Stoney) Watkins, Anthony Watkins, Lonnie Watkins, Parris Scott, Alena (Nick) Washburn, Katie Gillette and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends that loved her very much. Barbara was a selfless and proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always made sure that those around her were happy, cared for and well fed. Although Barb loved plants and flowers, in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to The Mary Parkes Asthma & Pulmonary Center, 400 Red Creek Drive, Rochester, NY 14623 or to the charity of your choice. Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 26th from 3-4 PM at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc. 340 West Ave., Brockport where a funeral service will be held at 4 PM. There will be a reception following the service.
