Obituary of Charles E. Groves

Charles Earl Groves, 84 years old, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2023, to live eternally with his beloved wife of 38 years, Betty Lou.  

Charlie was born September 2, 1938.  He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Florence Groves and his wife, Betty Lou Prince (1995).  He was also predeceased by many brothers, sisters, and in-laws.

Charlie is survived by his children, Pam (Tom) Rath, Penny (Rick) Nersinger, and Mark (Jill) Groves; his grandchildren Jeremy Rath, Ashley Rath, Cody (Brittany) Rath, Shelby (Jason) Moulton, Molly (Hunter) McMillion; great grandchildren Lydia, Abby, Micah, Wesley, Greyson and many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Charlie worked on farms early in life then for Domico Construction, CID/Albion Disposal, RVA Trucking and J&M Repair.

Charlie loved bowling, hunting and fishing.  He enjoyed gardening, wood working and playing poker and euchre.  He was an exceptional mechanic on anything with or without a motor, expert welder and equipment operator.

We all love you Charlie/Junior/Pa.  We will always remember your unlimited commitment to family.

Charlie's calling hours will be held on Tuesday January 17th from 4-7 pm at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc. 340 West Ave., Brockport.

Interment will take place in Lakeside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the ASPCA, The American Lung Association or Paws Animal Shelter in Albion.
