Obituary of Teresa M. LaPietra (Mazza)

Teresa went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Saturday October 30, 2021, at the age of 88.  Predeceased by her husband Arthur, sons Art and John, sisters Connie Cerame, Ida Aceto, Lee Tosti and Eleanor DiMatteo, brothers Vincent Mazza and Louis Mazza.  She is survived by her loving children Catherine Stone, Elaine Wyse, James LaPietra and Michele (Dan) Viola, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brothers Nicholas (Catherine) Mazza and Dr. Michael (Glenda) Mazza, sister-in-law Marianna Mazza and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Teresa is remembered by so many for her incredible gifts of hospitality. She cherished the musical gifts of her family. Most importantly, she held a saving faith in Jesus Christ that she loved to share with others.

Teresa’s final selfless act was a valuable contribution for medical education through her anatomical gift to the University of Rochester. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
