Born November 11, 1928 in Hammond, In., died July15, 2021 in Rochester, NY.  She is survived by her husband John, brother J. Dexter Marshall, children Jeremiah, Kieran, Daniel (Diane), Claudia; grandchildren John and Kevin Killigrew; nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents  J. Claude and Ann Marshall.

June graduated from Bishop Noll Institute in Hammond, Indiana, and received a BA degree from Dominican College, River Forest, Illinois.  June married John Killigrew on September 5, 1953 in Hammond, Indiana.  She moved to Brockport, NY in 1962 with her husband and four children when John accepted a faculty position at SUNY Brockport.

June was active in her local Catholic parish, Nativity BVM in Brockport including being on the faculty of the parish Faith Formation, a member of the parish choir,  cantor for weekend and holy day masses, and a member of the Shawl Ministry, a group that knits shawls for shut-ins and hospitalized parishioners.

June was on the staff of the Town of Sweden Tax Receiver, retiring in 2000.  She enjoyed theater, music (especially the RPO), dance, and singing with the “Sweden Swingers”, the local community chorus.  In her middle years she developed a proficiency on the tennis court and attendance at the annual tennis tournament in Toronto and US Open in New York was mandatory.

As a fan of the Buffalo Bills, she would occasionally attend games in Orchard Park with family and friends.  She was also an avid follower of professional tennis.  June had a special place in her heart for her two grandchildren, John and Kevin, baking them her world famous German Chocolate cake, carrot cake and pecan pie for birthdays and special occasions.

June was always eager to travel.  She visited Mexico, Italy, China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and various Caribbean Islands. The highlight of her travels was taking the Trans-Siberian railroad from Beijing to Moscow and continuing on to London by rail and ferry.

Her warm smile and sweet disposition will be missed by her family and many friends.

Family will receive friends on Monday July 19th from 3-5 PM at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc. 340 West Ave., Brockport.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 152 State St., Brockport.  Interment will follow in Mt.
