Obituary of Frederick H. Cobby

Frederick H. Cobby Wheatley, Ontario Canada/Holley/Brockport/Penn Yan NY: Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at the age of 93. He is predeceased by his wife Betty, parents Harry and Vida Cobby, brothers Jim (Joyce) and Bob Cobby, in-laws George and Bessie Renwick, Dorothy (Lloyd) Stevenson, Bob (Mabel) Renwick. He is survived by his daughters Zoanne Good and Lugene (James) Sadwick, son-in-law Butch Good, his beloved cat Bart, cousins Margaret Smith, Ruth Ann (Butch) Rivard, Gary (Pat) Hickson, Ted (Barb) Cobby, Geraldine Trahan, Burt (Carole) McColl, Bea Durocher, Bill McGregor, Rick McGregor, nieces, nephews and his lifelong friend of 90 years Jim Chute. He started working in the family business Cobby Fisheries, which later became known as Cobby Marine, and then worked for Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company where he travelled the world. A celebration of life will be held in Wheatley, Ontario Canada after the border opens. In lieu of flowers, those willing in New York may contribute to COVA or the Holley Volunteer Fire Department while those willing in Ontario Canada may donate to the Royal Canadian Legion, Wheatley Branch 324 in Fred’s memory.
