Margaret D. Little

Margaret Little was born in Victorville, California on April 28, 1961, and passed away on July 19, 2024, in Rochester, New York. She was predeceased by her father, Del Blain and is survived by her husband Leigh, her mother Dorothy, sisters Cathy and Linda, brothers Robert, Charles and Matthew and many nieces and nephews.

 Margaret travelled all over the world, including Australia and Hawaii, in her early years. Her father’s job was installing and training people on how to use computers in the early days of what we now call ‘big iron.’ This process could take several months at each location. Her family finally settled in Arizona where she eventually met her husband, Leigh. Their path took them to Brockport in July of 2000 after a brief 2-year stop in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

 Margaret received a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Arizona State University and a Masters in Mathematics from the College at Brockport. For the last 20 years of her life, she was an instructor in the Department of Mathematics at Brockport. She was dedicated to her job and has left a lasting impression on the department. She retired in 2023. 

 Margaret was an avid reader. Her favorite subject was science fiction. She also liked science fiction television shows and movies and her favorite show by far was Dr. Who. Margaret also loved the many pets that she had over the years. 

Family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 3-4 pm at Fowler Funeral Home Inc., 340 West Ave., Brockport, followed by a funeral service at 4 pm.
