Danny C. Amering

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny C. Amering, who unexpectedly departed from us on July 10, 2024, in Bergen, NY, at the age of 72. Danny was born on October 29, 1951, in Rochester, New York, and grew up in the town of Greece, New York. Danny will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious sense of humor, and deep love for his family and friends. He was a loving father to his daughter Caroline "Carrie" Ballou and son Jason "Jay" Amering. His grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Daniel Ballou, held a special place in his heart, bringing him immense joy and laughter. Danny's significant other Elizabeth "Betsy" Bryant supported and shared many wonderful experiences with him, his sister Adele "Miky" Becker and brother Charles Jr. (Susan) Amering will fondly remember their moments together. Danny also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends whose lives he touched with kindness and compassion.

Preceded in death by his parents Charles and Doris Amering, brothers Richard and David, and son-in-law Michael Ballou.

Not only did Danny have a passion for life within his family circle but also beyond. He had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved cats Snowball and Minnie. Fishing outings with his grandson were treasured times that he held close to his heart. Music resonated with him deeply, as did the thrill of sports - particularly the Alabama Crimson Tide. In his professional life, Danny dedicated years of service to Eastman Kodak as an electrical technician before retiring. Additionally, he shared his warmth and care as a school bus driver for Brockport Central School District after retiring from Eastman Kodak.

A visitation to honor and remember Danny's life is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 19, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM at Fowler Funeral Home in Brockport, NY. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM on the same day to celebrate the life of this remarkable man.
