Armstrong, Dorothy M.
Penn Yan/Syracuse/Brockport: Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday September 5, 2017 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her husband John, son James, sisters Margaret, Ruth, Pauline, Frances, brothers Donald and Hugh. She is survived by her children Martha (Pete) Puhak, John (Kerryanna) Armstrong, Deborrah Nanuseski, Sara (Bart) Power, daughter-in-law Sharon Armstrong, 7 grandchildren Michelle, Stephanie, Christine, Jamie, Jennifer, Naume and Lindsay, 6 great-grandchildren, brother Robert Mac Innis, many nieces and nephews. Dorothy came to the United States from Nova Scotia when she was 7 years old. She grew up on Martha's Vineyard where she met her husband and moved to Penn Yan. Her passions were family first, gardening, hiking, photography and she was a proud supporter of the NY wine industry.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday September 11th at 11AM at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc. 340 West Ave., Brockport. Dorothy will be laid to rest back home on Martha's Vineyard.
