Knight, Harold T "Red" Brockport: June 5, 2017, 96. It is with heavy hearts filled with precious memories that we announce the passing of our Dad. Red dedicated his life to his family and friends and will be remembered as a kind, caring, selfless individual who always put everyone else's needs over his own. He was also known for his keen sense of humor. He served his country in WWII with the United States Coast Guard in the South Pacific. Upon discharge from the service, Red earned his Bachelor's Degree from Syracuse University. He was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Brockport. Predeceased by his loving wife Shirley and his sister Betty Horn He is survived by his adoring children Lauren (Walt) Miles, Greg (Wendy) Knight; grandchildren Joel (Stephanie), Jonathan, Daniel, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren Jayden, Alexandria, Carson, and Brandon; brother Jack (Liz) Knight, sister-in-law Nancy (Dick) Reynolds, special longtime friend Don Jones, several nieces, and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 10 at 1 PM in St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Brockport. In honor of Red's memory, in lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to St. Luke's Episcopal Church or a charity of your choice.
